To become a successful scholar and lifelong learner, it is important to shape the minds of the young adults. With the name Scholastic Mind & Education, our team focuses on motivating and inspiring the students, as well as bringing excellent results in their IGCSE academic journey.

Established in 2021

SME was founded in 2021 by a team of passionate and experienced educators to provide an engaging learning experience at an affordable price. Our team is mixed with a group of successful University students who achieved A/A*s in their IGCSE, and qualified teachers who are currently working at schools.

Aye Chan Oo
​Founder/ CEO/Teacher

Aye Chan is a compassionate educator, who challenges the students to think beyond the books. She is a Dean's List student at University of Technology Sydney, who has achieved seven scholarships for obtaining the highest GPA in her cohort. She finished her IGCSE in 2017 with 5As/A*s and she was awarded with "Excellence Pearson Award". For the past 5 years, she has been teaching and mentoring students in Myanmar, United States, Australia and Singapore. During her gap years from University, she also worked as an English teacher at a Cambridge International School. While pursuing Bachelor of Medical Science at UTS, she is also designing Science curriculum for an Australian education centre.

Ricky Chan
Co-Founder/ CFO/ Primary Teacher

Ricky completed his high school at Trinity Grammar School in Sydney, Australia with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and achieved the headmaster’s academic citation. He is currently pursuing Bachelor of Aviation (Management) at the University of New South Wales. With the experience he obtained from leading Human Resources department in 2020 UNSW ASEAN Conference, and managing his private business, he will be working as a primary teacher and Chief Financial Officer.
