Inside scholastic minds
The successful education platform that Scholastic mind and education is providing to the society was established by our founder, Miss Aye Chan Oo; currently a student at University of Technology Sydney, she has endured through confrontations and put her entire efforts into perfecting a learning system that would favoUr all walks of life across the country with a realistic standard for costs. The organization originates back to 2021, with its foundation just built over passion for teaching and a goal of motivating the next generation to aspire to become something they never thought could be possible. Being students themselves, teachers are able to spot and instantly point out our requirements and flaws whilst maintaining a game plan to approach our requirements. From this, SME developed its main purpose of Scholastic mind, and Scholastic education: the former being mental growth as well as control over our sentiments in the process of evolving our minds, and the latter representing our academic success from lessons through every challenge and lectures we encounter.
WHERE DID OUR JOURNEY BEGIN?
SME initially consisted of three teachers and ten students in October of 2021, and the main objective was to open IGCSE classes and courses. Our founder, being a committed Medical Science student, has to thoroughly manage the school as well as her own education. Despite facing arduous predicaments, we have beared through and have developed deviating pragmatic solutions to provide a smooth
system for scholars. With all the teachers being abroad, there is a large gap in time difference in addition to the dollar-rate, nevertheless, the SME team has a firm, unfettered grasp on the menacing issues and are able to provide students with impeccable exemplary lectures that allow us to view topics through varying perspectives. The past is also a chapter in our story, it is the justification for the experiences that we are allowed with up to this day: if it weren’t for the endeavours of the SME team, we would be lost in a world owing to lack of proper guidance.
WHERE ARE WE?
From the labours carried out by our teachers, SME has expanded noticeably despite the limited human resources: more students have enrolled to take an opportunity from the resources and lessons that we are providing. Furthermore, the goal of starting up IGCSE classes were reached, teacher Aye Chan has exceeded her start up list by, not only being the founder for professional classes, but also for courses
running from Year 1 to the IGCSEs. The present is expressed to be everything of
our the founder's dreams, her compassion for teaching suits the
interaction and relationships with the students that she never thought would have developed as soon as now; SME is not only an educational approach, it is also a society that brings together individuals with different stories to meet and become a team. The SME team has warmly welcomed many more members into their arms and have improved the teamwork to mend all the needs of students.
Our founder likes to go by a quote, word-by-word as Maya Angelou had said, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style": after all that she has done to bring us the lectures we receive every week, it would be an understate to say that she has embodied this phrase. Encounter is the backbone of our organization, SME’s collaborations with other education programmes allow us to constantly extend our knowledge and comprehension about the IGCSEs as well as chances for Australian
universities. Our organization was featured on the website of UTS as a symbol of recognition from the university itself towards our education platform as well as teacher Aye Chan’s business. The chapters on our story are still currently unfolding, every student and every second at SME plays a role in the wording and plot on what our future holds.
HOW ARE WE PERSISTENTLY ADAPTING TO BRING OUR BEST POTENTIAL?
Scholastic Mind and Education evolved from the first piece of the puzzle to create the picture that we present today, with the beginning segment being our team’s experience. With all our teachers being students themselves, they are easily able to empathise with the students: support is provided physically and mentally daily as a
reminder that we are not alone on this journey. Despite online learning, SME conducts the classes with interactive methods, these allow the students to immediately absorb the information provided whilst being able to apply it into practical situations. Having explained the situation of our providers of education, it is already protruding that all our teachers invest their hard work and time in the varying students to bring us to the best version of ourselves possible.
The learning styles are student-oriented, each approach is deviating for every individual and we are assigned with a most suitable approach on the topic: even so, the chapters are covered thoroughly as a class and with unconstrained teamwork. Obtaining seven scholarships from one of the most eminent universities in the world, teacher Aye Chan regularly shares with her students the secrets to becoming a successful scholar like herself. As a result of living in three different countries and changing from countless schools, our founder has more than enough stories to share with the students: how to become a scholar and how to fly beyond the expectations of universities become a well thought out game plan when met with our SME team.
WHERE IS SME HEADED?
The future is an unpredictable component in life, however, with effort and a clear objective, we can shoot straight into our goals. After all that we’ve been through, SME is prepared for the obstacles that we have yet to face. There are future plans written for where the organization is headed, and the main target is to create a campus in both Myanmar and Australia: from there we aim to evolve our SME into a renowned and esteemed international school to produce more scholars who will carry the success of the country on their hands. Teacher Aye Chan plans on working with other international universities as a way to broaden the reach of opportunities as well as experience in our classes. To reach this imagined future, we have to stay committed and dedicate ourselves to our tasks. “My students and teaching will always be a part of who I am”, stated teacher Aye Chan during the interview: SME
hopes to maintain quality and recognised education with a small group of students at the moment even though we have many more in line, from this, we will eventually expand along the years until a peak where we can look back at our origins and see the traces on our long journey.
SME’s story is only in the phase of the beginning, and there are endless chapters yet to unfold: everyday, our lessons and lectures impact our learning as we become a step closer to achieving what we aim for. Side by side, hand in hand, we are about to head out on a prolonged journey with the support of Scholastic Mind and Education and our teachers who will always be there to catch us when we fall and hold us up when we are down. With SME we have no worry to be lost as there will always be a light in front of us for guidance, the shining determination of the team and our own resolute mentalities will escort us to success. The only question now is, are you willing to represent a part in our story?
Will you join us?
